IMPRINT CITY WELCOMES HIP HOP LEGEND BUSTA RHYMES
TO BAYVIEW DURING THE BAYVIEWLIVE FESTIVAL
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26TH, 2019, FROM 12:00-7 PM
SAN FRANCISCO, August 27th, 2019—On Saturday, October 26th from Noon to 7:00 p.m., Imprint.City will produce the 4th annual BayviewLIVE Festival, the only festival in San Francisco solely dedicated urban artists. This is a special year for the festival because it is the first year the Bayview Hunters Point has just been designated as San Francisco’s African American Arts and Cultural District. In celebration of this milestone, Imprint City has secured hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes to perform for BayviewLIVE: Uproar.
“I am honored to have co-authored the legislation to make Bayview a designated cultural district in support of former District 10 Supervisor Malia Cohen. I wanted this year’s BayviewLIVE Festival to reflect this milestone for the community and who better to excite the neighborhood than Busta Rhymes. It’s exciting,” says Imprint City executive director Tyra Fennell.
Imprint City will additionally host three neighborhood talent competitions to secure local artists to also grace the stage.
“It is wonderful to see the growth of BayviewLIVE over the past several years . We have been quiet supporters of the Imprint City team as the festival has matured, and we look forward to seeing it develop further. It is no easy feat to launch a festival. Our team is excited to help in any way we can.” stated Allen Scott, Head of Concerts & Festivals for Another Planet Entertainment
